No. 04 ยท Partners

We partner with agencies on hosting and software. Build the site yourself or let us — either way it runs on codanomiq, we host it, invoice it and answer the phone, and you earn a share of everything that client pays us for as long as they stay.

01

Referral, not resale

Your client is our client for billing. They pay our price list, we invoice them, and their support comes to us. You are not buying hosting wholesale and marking it up, so there is no billing to run, no card fees to absorb, no invoices to chase and no helpdesk to staff.

What you keep is the relationship and the creative work. What you add is a share of the revenue that follows it.

02

Build it yourself, or hand it to us

The wizard that creates a site asks who its first admin is — you, or the client. Name yourself and the install is yours from the moment it exists: your developers, your HTML, your templates, in the same admin the client will eventually use. A partner with a studio of their own carries on doing the work they would have been doing anyway.

And that work stays your invoice. Design and build are between you and your client, and we take no part of them — our commission is only on what the client pays us for the platform underneath. If there is a piece you would rather not do, the migration or an awkward import or the bit that always overruns, we will take that piece, or the whole build, and tell you what it costs before we start.

03

Ten per cent of what they pay, not ten per cent of the build

The programme rate is 10% of every line a client pays us: hosting, add-on tools, usage above their plan, one-off work, and our platform fee on the bookings and shop orders their site settles. Where a stream is worth more to both of us it is negotiable, and the number then sits on your own rate card rather than in an email.

Commission is earned on money that arrived, never on money invoiced. An unpaid invoice earns nothing, and a refund reverses at the rate the money was earned at rather than today’s.

04

You introduce a client, not a hostname

The introduction is recorded against the client, not against a website. Every site that client ever puts on the platform earns you commission — including the second one they add two years later without mentioning it to anybody, and the shop they bolt on after that.

05

A renegotiation cannot reprice what you have already earned

Rates are held per revenue stream and dated, and they are never edited in place. Agreeing a new number writes a new line that runs from a date; everything earned before it keeps the rate it was earned at. A rate can also be agreed to run for a fixed term and then fall back to the programme rate on its own, so “this much for the first two years” needs no diary entry on either side.

06

A statement on the 28th, paid to your bank

Earnings stay pending until the money behind them is safe: fourteen days on an invoice we issued, thirty on a booking or a shop order, because each of those has a cancellation window behind it. On the 28th we issue a statement, one per currency, and pay it to the account you connect through Stripe.

Anything under £25 rolls into the following month rather than becoming a payment that costs more than it moves. Every statement lists the rows behind it, so the total is never a number you have to take on trust.

07

Your own console

Partners sign in to a console of their own: your clients, their sites, what each one is earning, filters and a CSV export, and a statement you can print. Add a client, choose a plan and start building — within the site allowance we agree with you that happens without asking anybody, and above it the same screen raises a request we approve. You can buy the client’s domain through it as well.

Invite your team and they get their own sign-in rather than a shared password.

What earns commission

Six streams · 10% each unless we agree otherwise
01

Hosting

The plan and hosting lines on every invoice the client pays, net of VAT.

02

Add-ons

The extra tools switched on for that client — the shop, the booking desk, hiring, whatever they turn on.

03

Usage

Overage above the plan, on the months a site outgrows what it is on.

04

One-off work

Setup and one-time charges, on the same terms as everything else.

05

Bookings

Our platform fee on every booking the client’s site settles, once its cancellation window has passed.

06

Shop orders

Our platform fee on every shop order that settles, on the same thirty-day hold.

08

What we ask of you

Very little, deliberately. A short written agreement, accepted by a named person before the first site goes up. Honest expectations set with the client about who hosts and who supports them, because they will ring whoever they think owns the problem. And a client whose account stays in good standing — suspension, if it ever comes to that, applies to an account rather than to one of its sites.
